Bridal Shower

I’ve been quiet on social media recently as I have been planning my niece's bridal brunch shower.

I was thrilled to be able to host this celebration for my niece as she embarks on this new chapter of her life, and I’ve been so engrossed in putting together the menu, decorations, and getting our backyard ready! That an unintentional stepping back from social media allowed me to immerse myself fully in the preparations, and I had so much fun!

The weather couldn't have been more perfect. The sun peaked out from behind the clouds just as the guests were arriving. The temperature was just right, Warm enough to be comfortable without being too hot. It was a picture-perfect day, and I’m very grateful to Mother Nature.

Look at the blooms on my Strawberry plants!

I chose to do something fun and summery for the color and theme of the Bridal Brunch. I found the paper products at Marshalls months ago, and I instantly fell in love with them! I planned the rest of the shower around those plates. Plates, and napkins by Papyrus.

On a grocery shopping trip one day at Walmart, I found the tablecloths. If you know me, you know I love gingham!

Then, on a quick trip to Craft Warehouse, to look at the truckload flat fold fabric sale, I found the cute little wispy florals for the centerpieces.

Do you love the vases? I’ve had these for years and use them all the time! They’re light covers for a porch light! They were on clearance at our local Fred Meyer many moons ago. I think they look old fashioned and I LOVE them.

Next up were the invites; imagine my surprise when I did a Google and Etsy search to find out that these colors were a big thing! I had no idea. I loved the Invite printable from Paper Minx Printables!

The bride to be loves our family’s old fashioned cream cheese frosted sugar cookies, and Rice Krispie’s treats. So I went on the hunt to find the right color sprinkles… I found the Sunrise Non-Pareils blend from the Layer Cake Shop on Etsy!

The cookies and Rice Krispie treats looked so good as the party favors!

Rice Krispies made by Cate my DIL were cut into bars, a sucker stick added, dipped in melted frosting, sprinkled with sprinkles, inserted into a cello bag, and tied with a pretty bow.

Thank heavens for Google - A quick, “chair rental company close to me” search, and I found Dash of Darling right in town.

Special thanks to those who helped with the food!

The food… I made a list of all my favorite brunch foods, and then I had to choose which ones I’d actually make and use. (my list was kind of long!)

Here is the menu:

Quiche (Note: I was going to make the quiche, as I love my own pie crust, and quiche. But I was running short on time and chose to pick up the quiche pack at Costco. They were really good!)

Mini Cinnamon rolls made by my daughter-in-law Cate. Oh so good!

Fresh Apple Cider donuts from my favorite local strawberry and pumpkin patch farm. Thank you Bushue’s Family Farm!

Old Fashioned Sour Cream Sugar Cookies with Cream Cheese Frosting. (recipe HERE.)

Fruit Platter

Veggie Platter (props to my niece Madison and her mad veggie tray skills!)

Meat and Cheese Tray

Chicken Salad (Oh so thankful to my neighbor Vina for the use of her serving bowls and platters!)

Mini Croissants

Fresh Strawberry Freezer Jam

Uncle Dan’s Ranch Drip

Marshmallow Cream Cheese Fruit Dip (our family favorite recipe can be found HERE).

Condiments

Brunch Punch, Water, and various canned sparkling fruit flavored drinks.

The Brunch Punch (non-alcoholic) was a huge hit. And I must say, it was super yummy! I have a similar recipe, but I used Jill @ The Carefree Kitchen’s recipe HERE.

The beverage table in the BBQ Shack

It was a beautiful morning, and truly I was honored to be able to do this for my niece.
