Instant Pot Applesauce

INSTANT POT APPLESAUCE

3 pounds apples, peeled and sliced

1/4 - 1/2 cup water

1 Tablespoon lemon juice

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/8- 1/4 cup honey

Note: depending on what variety of apple you use, use your best judgment on how much honey you add. We only used about 1/8 cup because we used Honeycrisp apples from our tree.

Add all ingredients to the Instant Pot (I used an 8-qt. pot; If you have a smaller pot, be careful not to over fill your pot) See your Instant Pot instructions.

Cover and seal. Cook on high pressure for 8 minutes. Let vent naturally.

Once pressure is released, remove lid and whisk the apples to mix.

Transfer to your container of choice and either freeze in plastic containers, glass containers, or resealable bags.

If you’d like to process jars of applesauce, refer to your favorite source for canning / processing applesauce.
