Jump On In Quilt

I don’t know why it’s taken me so long to post about my Jump On In quilt.

Are you tired of me asking how the heck we are at the end of July already? Sorry. But really? How are we? OK, back to my Jump On In Quilt.

I LOVE how it turned out.

Missouri Star Quilt Co. sent me the fabulous fabric for the quilt. I chose 1/4 yard cuts of various red prints and a low volume bundle from Riley Blake.

I love the 108” Lori Holt backing I chose. And the Lori Holt red and white gingham (of course!) The backing is from Lori’s cookbook fabric line. The gingham is a Bee Basics gingham.

Honestly, gingham is a favorite!

I chose to use the quilt design Lovely Loops by Melissa at Sew Shabby Quilting. I wanted an all over, non-directional design and something that would offset the hard lines of the half square triangles.

Bingo! I think I achieved just that.

In retrospect, I probably would have scaled the design down a bit. I like a more dense quilting. But it still turned out great!

I still need to finish stitching the binding down. I’ve been waiting for a nice summer evening (when I’m home!) on the patio. Boy has our summer been busy!

Maybe this week I’ll get the chance to!

This quilt would look good in any color as a two color quilt. In fact! I quilted one for Kelli that was done in navy and white. It turned out fabulous!

She chose another design by Melissa at Sew Shabby Quilting called Simple Roses. It was perfect for her quilt, complementing the backing fabric.

I’m thinking this quilt would be super fun totally scrappy! Hmmm.. Maybe I should make one.
